Description
Semidol K2 is used for drinking water filtration and for deacidification of water, removal of iron, manganese, and silicon. It is also intended for increasing the calcium and magnesium content in water, thus for water mineralization. As a result of the alkaline reaction of MgO, in addition to increasing pH, there will also be deironization and demanganization of water and removal of silicon.
It is a partially calcined dolomite obtained through thermal treatment of raw dolomite. At temperatures around 850 °C, there is a partial deacidification to CaCO3 * MgO.
